Tuesday Sep 07

Partying the whole night long just beginning the week might sounds quite irreverent, but it happens.

And now that nasty Mondays are not free a new sprout has grown from his brother in arms, the crappy Tuesdays!, more indie and Electro Pop though but still filthy.

People from all over the Northwest will travel to Vancouver, British Columbia this July to attend the Vancouver Folk Festival, a three-day long event, which showcases contemporary and traditional folk, roots and world music.

For one group, the journey to the festival is more than the usual weekend road trip. Festival acts: Jeremy Fisher, Said The Whale, Hannah Gerogas and Aidan Knight will be bicycling to the event, the last stop on their July music tour.

I heard about Tim Be Told a while ago and really liked their sound. They had been getting a lot of press in the Unite States, especially in the Asian American media, as well as the indie music scene. At first, just by appearance and what I'm used to covering for other publications, Tim Be Told looked like another Asian pop band (though their bass player, Parker Stanley, is Caucasian.) I hate to stereotype but most Asian American music artists come out of California, where this is a big Asian population and culture. The Asian community, which involves K-Town (Korean town) supports their artists to the fullest and there is a notable entertainment industry there for those folks.  This is a good thing. A very good thing.

But this is not Tim Be Told. At least, not what I've seen so far, and it's actually very refreshing that their background is different and so is their sound.
